Terms of Service
Effective: September 9, 2026
1. Eligibility and acceptance
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering contracts to create an account or transact through Naijack. By registering, you accept these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you act for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
2. Marketplace role
Naijack is primarily a classified automotive marketplace connecting independent buyers, sellers and service providers. Unless an ad clearly identifies Naijack or its managed supply desk as the seller or intermediary, Naijack does not own, inspect or guarantee the advertised vehicle, part or service and is not a party to the sale. Platform moderation or a Verified seal confirms only the stated verification review, not future conduct, ownership, mechanical condition or title.
3. Ads, prices and seller duties
Sellers must have the legal right and capacity to offer an item or service. Titles, descriptions, condition, location, price, photos, availability, taxes, delivery terms and material defects must be accurate, current and not misleading. Sponsored placement changes visibility only. It does not represent endorsement. Commercial sellers remain responsible for applicable consumer, tax, product-safety, advertising, intellectual-property and sector requirements.
4. Prohibited content and conduct
You may not offer stolen, counterfeit, unsafe, recalled or unlawfully imported goods; falsified vehicle documents or identifiers; weapons or unlawful items; deceptive finance or investment products; or content that infringes privacy, copyright or trademarks. You may not impersonate, harass, threaten, discriminate, scrape, spam, manipulate reviews, evade enforcement, upload malware, probe security, misuse personal data, run advance-fee fraud or use Naijack for another unlawful purpose.
5. Safer communication and transactions
Keep conversations on Naijack where possible. Inspect vehicles and parts, verify documents, ownership and seller identity, and use a qualified mechanic where appropriate. Never pay in advance merely because a message, screenshot or badge appears trustworthy. Report suspected fraud promptly. Naijack may preserve and review relevant communications when necessary for safety, complaints, disputes or law enforcement, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
6. Payments, subscriptions and promotions
Fees, duration, included benefits, total payable price and renewal terms are displayed before purchase. Recurring billing will not be used unless clearly disclosed and authorised. Where a purchased digital promotion has not begun, or the service is defective or not supplied as described, statutory consumer remedies remain available. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.
7. Optional payment protection and escrow
Escrow is optional and currently unavailable. Naijack does not presently collect, hold, release or refund buyer transaction funds. It must remain disabled until a properly authorised payment or escrow provider, written consumer terms, reconciliation, complaints, refund and dispute controls are in place. Legacy or demo transaction statuses are not evidence that money was protected. Current information appears in the Escrow and Dispute Policy.
8. Complaints, cancellations and disputes
Use in-platform reporting or email support@naijack.com. Provide the ad, account, payment or incident reference and supporting information. Naijack may remove content, suspend access, preserve evidence, reverse an unprovided platform benefit where appropriate, or refer suspected crime to competent authorities. Users should first attempt good-faith resolution. Statutory rights to contact the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or another regulator are not restricted.
9. Intellectual property and notices
You retain ownership of content you submit and grant Naijack a non-exclusive licence to host, format, reproduce and display it only as needed to operate, promote and secure the marketplace. You confirm you have the required rights. Rights holders may send a detailed infringement notice to support@naijack.com. We may restrict disputed content while reviewing a properly supported notice and response.
10. Account enforcement and security
You are responsible for protecting your login and must promptly report suspected compromise. Naijack may limit, suspend or terminate accounts or content where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or investigate fraud. Where appropriate, we will explain the decision and provide a review channel, except where doing so would compromise safety, an investigation or a legal obligation.
11. Availability and liability
We work to provide a secure and reliable service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability or the conduct of independent users. To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, Naijack is not liable for indirect loss caused solely by a transaction between independent users. This does not exclude liability or consumer remedies that Nigerian law does not permit us to exclude, including liability arising from our own fraud, wilful misconduct or legally non-excludable duty.
12. Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Nigerian courts have jurisdiction, without preventing either party from using a competent regulator, tribunal or agreed alternative dispute process. Material changes will be dated and communicated where required. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued statutory rights.
